What are the signs of tooth decay in toddlers?

How can I identify if my child of 2 years has decayed teeth?I always check for black lines on her teeth,but have not found any yet.What are the other signs of tooth decay?I brush her teeth twice a day.

  1. usually if her teeth are white all over you don't need to worry,but it usually shows up a little discolored and you should be able to see a small hole develop, I think you need to stop worrying so much


  2. ive seen many holes in my 3 kids teeth,, so with my 4th she was having a cry on her weigh check appointment and my health nurse picked up a small hole ARGGGGGGH [though she will recheck it next week to make sure it wasnt food stuck in her tooth]

    if u take him in the daylight, get him to hold his mouth open, quickly look at each tooth to see if they look perfect

    any holes or dark patches are not good,, u can see holes pretty easy in good lighting,, good luck xxxxxxxxx
