What are the signs of wet tail?

i was just wondering what the signs are because my hamster stinks a little and near her tail is sort of yellowish but i think its just because of her pee. and sometimes she lays or sits in it.

but i was just wondering if anyones hamster has ever had it? and whats it like? just so i know

Symptoms of a wet tail is Dehydration (when the ears are back), diarrhea, Wetness around the tail, loss appetite, visual differences of the fur (hasn't groomed itself for awhile).

I lost my hamster from it the best thing to just in case is to go to the nearest pet store and buy some Dri-tail drops or get the dissolving pills. Clean its cage really good and get rid of contaminated food. Keep a close eye on her/him. Make sure he/she is drinking and eating.

What to look for:

Watery diarrhea, foul smell

Wet, dirty tail area

Pet not grooming itself

Not eating/drinking

Looking dehydrated and lethargic

Walking with a hunched up back

Constantly sleeping

had severe diarrhea ( the whole portion of the tail area was wet with brown fluid = wet-tail)

it can be fatal so go to the vet as soon as you see it
