  1. you will see that she may have some swelling and gradually spots of blood will drip

I think they tend to bleed more when excited but stains are easy enough to remove from the carpet so i wouldnt confine her to hard floors. It'll last maybe 2-3 weeks

  2. It is obvious that you are new to the 'dog thing' b*****s do not spray, but they do bleed and their v***a does swell. You don't do anything til about 6 weeks after her heat finishes, then you get her spayed. I strongly suggest that you get some books about caring for dogs and one especially about the *****.

  3. No, she doesn't spray.

Her v***a will swell, and she will bleed. It lasts for 3 wks. Keep her under close eye for at least 4. Better safe than sorry.

  4. A swollen vuvla and bloody discharge are signs of heat.  This will last about 3 weeks.

She may go thru mood swings, or even possibly become tender around her abdomen during her heat cycle as well

Keep a close eye on her, DO NOT leave her outside unattended, not even in a fenced yard..  dont let males get to her!

If you get her spayed, you wont have to worry about heat cycles ever again!

  5. They female will keep l*****g her genitals and then you will notice spots sometimes of blood. They are very clean but sometimes the blood spots. It last for about three weeks. The genitals swell. If you don't want to breed with her get her spayed after the season is over before the next one. I believe it happens every six months. Keep her away from dogs (male).

  6. does she spray??? i hope not she is not a tomcat!you do not have to do anything except keep her away from male dogs,,and maybe get her spayed if she is now a year old.she will bleed so be aware of that,,she will do her best to keep herself clean,,please see about getting her spayed ok,,all the best.

  7. You'll notice drops of blood coming from her v***a also her v***a and nipples might swell up during this time.

Females don't spray, but they have a scent that will drive an unfixed male nutty.  Keep her indoors do not allow her around any unfixed males unless you want puppies, arrange to get her spayed once her heat is finished.  Heat will last 21 days or more.

  8. if a female dog was in heat she would be bleeding from the bum.she will not spray i think that's only if a males around.but if she is ready to be mated you have to stroke her back near the bum and if she lifts her tail up then puts it to the side she is ready.

  9. being in heat is just like ur dog getting her period. so you never know.
