  1. Easy mac.

  2. college life is very different from hs life. the least amount of classes to take is usually 4-5 classes per semester or 12-15 credits. So, u can have only 3 classes a day or 5 classes a day or even less...its all up to u and how much u can handle. You choose the desired time slots for each classes. So, you'll have more free time during the day. Meeting people and getting involved in diff clubs and gatherings are optional and up to u as well. College is the place to find ur direction in life as well as discipline and responsibility. Trust me u'll enjoy ur time in college, its such a new start to an open freedom of life.  Go to college orientation to ask more specific questions.

  3. In high school, typically each class was worth one credit. You likely needed four English credits, three math credits, etc. to graduate. To graduate with a bachelor's degree, you probably need around 120 credits.

In college, each class is worth a different number of credits depending on their level of difficulty. Most classes are worth three credits, but more difficult classes or classes that meet more often can be worth four or five credits. Classes that meet only once a week (like Freshman Orientation) may be worth only one credit.

Classes typically meet two times a week (Tuesday/Thursday) or three times a week (Monday/Wednesday/Friday). Classes worth more credits may meet an additional day or every day throughout the entire week.

The minimum number of hours a full time student can take per semester is 12 hours. If you're taking average three-credit classes, that's four classes. Many students take this many their first semester so they can get the hang of college. Some students like to take more. Typically the maximum number of hours you can take a semester is 18, but some students can take more if they get special permission from their advisers. You need to have a very high GPA to do this.

You don't need to take eight periods of classes like you did in high school. Your school day does not need to be seven straight hours like it was in high school. Actually, many students take two or three classes a day and are only in class three hours or so a day. You can easily take four or five classes and only be at school for three hours a day or so. Since YOU choose your classes, you might want to sleep in a bit. So sign up to have your first class at 2PM and end in the early evening. Or, if you're an early bird, catch an 8AM class and be done by early afternoon.

There are tons of things happening on campus for after classes or between classes, there are tons of groups and organizations you can check out. There will be student lounges and cafeterias and perhaps entertainment centers (my campus has bowling lanes, pool tables, etc.) to hang out in. There are also sports, bands, etc. you can join if those are your thing.

Likewise on weekends there may be club meetings or organizations, my college organizes movie nights and "ice cream socials" and random things like that...of course, there will probably be parties too.

A minor isn't something you take every semester. A minor is a program of study that compliments your degree, or it's something you're interested in. Minors are typically 20-30 credits, so you can't do a different one each semester. You wouldn't have any time for your major coursework or general education classes.
