  1. The only similarities, that I can think of are that if your child goes on an excursion you are required by the childrens regs to sign a permission form(being the parent). The staff member must give you the information on where they are going how long they will be and what transport they will be using and who are the other staff members. this required by law.

With excursions depending on the childs age and excursion you need 1 adult to every 2-4 children. I think from memory.

Family daycare as you are the only carer you can have up to 7 children. But 4 are to be only of pre-school age.

Both types of care need to take along a first aid kit, medical records and personal records of each child, a mobile phone, and depending on where you are going and how long. Food, water etc.

You really need to look at the centre or family day care schemes policy to know the exact number and what is expected. Also knowing the childrens acts and regs on excursions is also important. I have placed sites to go to below. But if your wanting to know what your centre or family day care required to do on a excursion ring them personally and they should help you with your question.
