My soon to be husband and I are going there for our honeymoon. We were planning on going to Xel-Ha and Chichen Itza. Any other fun places to go?

  1. Chichen Itza is awesome.....dont forget ur sunnies, hats n most importantly sun block bcoz itz really, really hot there!

  2. I would suggest going to Xcaret, which is similar to Xel-ha but they have this magnificent night show which you should definitely see. And they still have this underground rivers where you can swim, wildlife, optional swimming-with-dolphins, restaurants, etc.

Playa del carmen is also very nice and close to Xcaret, so you might want to see both the same day. Have a nice trip!

  3. I would take the trip to Isla Mujeres - not very crowded, cheaper than Cancun (food, drink, souvenirs).

Def should go to one of the eco parks.

Try local restaurants and not the typical chains you find here (TGIF, Mc donalds).

  4. the ecoparks and wildlife refuges such as Sian Ka’an and Rio Lagartos. Further south are towns along the Riviera Maya such as Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras where golf courses, swimming with the dolphins, deep sea fishing, snorkeling and scuba diving are easy to find.  There is so much to do depending on what you want to do.....try http://www.cancun.com for a complete list of tours.  Charter a boat and go deep sea fishing, it's a blast, check out the cenotes.....go on a booze cruise.....HAVE FUN

    =)

  5. Tulum, they are also Mayan ruins and they are closer to Cancun then Chichen Itza...Tulum is right on the beach.  Playa del Carmen is about an hour drive from Cancun then you can take the fairy (about a 45 minute boat ride) to the Island of Cozumel.  In Cozumel you can go snorkeling or enjoy some water activity.  Isla Mujeres is a small Island right accross from Cancun.  They have what they call a sea turtle farm there and they also have a place where you can do some more snorkeling or some other water activities...its called "Garafon".  Enjoy your stay, there is just so much to see around the area.  When you get to your hotel, I recommend you pick up the brochures and pamphlets they have there so you can check them out and plan any other actitives you may want to explore.  Have fun.
