can you give the sizes of the 5 regional divisions of asia.. they are north asia, south asia, southeast asia,southwest asia, and east asia.

I am not aware of a uniform agreement as to the definitions of the sub-regions of Asia. The closest would be the United Nations definitions. Unfortunately, you would have to add up the areas yourself from the listing in the source.

North Asia is a particularly troubling concept. I would define it as the Asian portion of the Russian Federation, but that is by no means universal.Russia is 17,075,400 square kilometers

For example IUCN defines North Asia as:

Russian Federation (presumably the whole country)

Belarus

Republic of Moldova,

Ukraine

but it's more conventional to think of those countries as the far east of Europe.

incluing Belarus, Moldova & Ukraine in Asia is crazy. These are the countries deep inside Europe. TransCaucasian republics-Azerbaijan & Georgia are subject to debate but not the former three. Something wrong somewhere. Out of Russia's 6.6 million sq.km, 5.2 million sq.km area is in Asia (east of Urals) making it the biggest Asian country (China has 3.7 million sq.miles) whereas Russian Europe is only 1,4 million sq.km.
