  1. What do you mean a cure? A cure for addiction? Or to get rid of the drug all together? Please explain your question better.


  2. There is already a cure.

    It's called abstinance.

    You just don't take drugs.  You go to 12 step groups and or rehab for support.

    EDIT:  I see your added comment.  My answer is the same, because if you cure someone of addiction to cocaine, they will usually just go to some other mind altering substance.  That is the nature of addiction.

    So, the social impact of finding a cure for addiction to cocaine would be that there would be a million more people addicted to methamphetamines.

  3. well there would be less people in prisons and jails.   Over or about 62% of people are locked up for substance abuse.  But of course people must take the 1st stepof wanting to quit in order to get over the addiction even if there was a cure.  But drug dealers would be affected by losing buyers, which in turn would affect a community in a positive way.  Families wouldnt have so many problems if their loved ones addiction could be cured.  Thats pretty much all i could think of
