Figure out how to impact Water Vapor...that is by far the most abundant Green House Gas,,some data point to an increase in temperature gives rise to greater  levels of CO2 in the atmosphere...and why are the polar caps on Mars receding?

Supporting the use of renewable energy sources.  Although they can have a higher installation costs (monetarily) in general renewables are cheaper to operate.  Everyone wins with renewable energy sources investors, users, rate payers and the earth.

P.S. to kate s,  please reread the answer, it says renewable, not non-renewable. :)

There is no human solution. It is not caused by humans. It already has started to slow down some.

there are many ways. and one thing to remember is that prevention is much easier and cheaper than solving the problem once it is nearly uncontrollable.

1. slow population growth

2. reduce poverty

3. limit urban sprawl

4. use more sustainable agriculture

5. reduce deforestation

6. transfer energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies to developing countries

7. shift to renewable energy resources

8. improve energy efficiency

9. shift from coal to natural gas

10. cut fossil fuel use, especially coal

there are many more smaller (but effective) things an individual can do to contribute. but to physically "slow down global warming" those are some reasons. i didnt elaborate because there are many things to say about each.

go outside and plant a tree. we gotta lower the gloabal warming rates by 81% by 2050 but i think that is too much. if global warming goes then global cooling is gonna copme along and finish us off...were damned if we do and just fucked if we dont
