  1. what are the some barriers that you think are important (i.e. sexism, homophobia... )?

  2. Do you mean, how can we eradicate oppressions?

Read some of the questions and answers on here and see what a huge task that is going to be!

  3. After reading Yahoo.com/Answers for a few days, I'd say it's important to create barriers against guilt and to ridicule those that attempt to control people through it's use, to mercilessly chastise them.

Here's an example: "It's wrong to be a L*****n" so if you are taught that and happen to be a L*****n then you should feel guilty.  I have a dear friend that happens to be a L*****n.  I asked her if she always knew or one day it suddenly just hit her. Her answer:  She didn't just wake up one day and decide to be g*y any more than I decided to be straight.  With that in mind I ask how dare anyone make her feel guilty for something she has no control over?

How dare the church make anyone feel guilty for wanting s*x?  That is a trait God gave man to insure the species didn't become extinct and he made it feel wonderful so we would propagate quickly.  If you believe s*x is dirty or somehow wrong under any circumstances then you are saying "How dare God give us those impure thoughts?"  That doesn't mean irresponsible procreation is acceptable but don't tell me s*x is unacceptable.

I have had people try to make me feel guilty for a bunch of things that I did that I know were right which brings their moral values into question.  In fact, some of the things other people tried to manipulate me into do, had I done them I would now be seeking therapy - I wouldn't be able to live with myself.

I'm sorry.  I'm on a rant because of something I read yesterday.  It just makes me angry when someone tries to manipulate your actions when they can't suffer the consequences of the actions they manipulate you into taking.
