    In general they will want you to state your reason for traveling to Italy; duration of stay; destination in Italy; age;

    Of course, you'll need a valid passport with a blank page for stamping, a driver license if renting a car.

    If you are a student they will want to know which school, and details about accomodations, and they might even ask if you have enough funding for the length of your stay.
