I play middle blocker and I was wondering if you could tell me what my position would be for all 6 rotations. If anyone plays high school, and actually knows what I'm talking about, please reply. And, I was also wondering if you like 5-1 or 4-2 better than 6-2.

  1. 5- 1 is the best because you only have on setter and he/she will need to go to wherever the ball goes. Evrybody has to learn their own positions and it is less confusing. it is hard for me to show you without a paper. but if you really want to know i can e-mail you the steps little by little just let me know.

  2. dangg yoo must bee talll ! im friggin outsidee, right, or middle back =[. i LOVEEEEE 5-1 !!!!

  3. Yeah, it would be hard to show you without a court clipboard to draw on. Both the 5-1 and 6-2 are good. For my club we run a 5-1 because our setter is big and can easily put up a block, while for highschool we run a 6-2 and sub in once the setters are in the front row.

  4. I don't know how to explain without a diagram.  Don't worry, though, your coaches will help you.  You'll get it.  Oh, and it depends on the level.  For 7th/8th grade I like 4-2.

  5. For your question about 6-2 is that you should always start in the front center and then rotate out so someone else who is a better passer then you are can serve the ball. I think 5-1 is better then 4-2 or 6-2 because that way you have one good setter setting the whole game. Incase the main setter gets the first ball the other setter can set the ball as well. So I would think 5-1 is the best for any kind of offence because I've played volleyball and 3 out 4 years we used 5-1 and I was the setter.

  6. i cant explain without a diagram and some more info but im sure your coach will explain and dont be scared to ask questions. my favorite is either a 5-1 or 6-2. i think i like 6-2 better
