  1. ok, here they are:

    outside-  5

    middle-   2

    right side-   9

    back row-   setter is red

    middle is white

    outside is blue

or you can call pipe a b or c

    shoots r 4's and 1's

    easy as pie!

  2. 5,2,C,

then an extra 2 means high, and 1 means low......atleast at me school.,,.........

  3. front row hits (4 step approach)

if you play out side hitter you call a 4 or go

    4

on a 4 you start your approach when the setter sets the ball

the setter sets a normal high ball

    go

on a go you should be on your second step when the setter sets the ball

pushes the ball faster out and not as high

if you play middle there is a 2 or  1

    2

you are on your 2nd step when the setter sets the ball

setter sets the ball straight up so a normal set and this means you need to shuffle to were ever the setter is

1 you are on your 3rd step when the setter sets the ball

you go the setter will set

(1 s take a while to get down your setter will need time and so will you do NOT ever get disappointed or frustrated)

if you play right side hitter there is a 5 and a shoot

    5

a 5 you start your approach when the setter sets the ball

a normal back set for the setter

    shoot

on a shoot you are on your second step when the setter sets the ball

like a go the setter pushes the ball out faster these take a while to master

back row hits (behind 10 ft  line 4 step approach)

    --------------------------------------... ft line

        R                       W/P                       B

back row hits are red white or pipe and blue

tou an call them anything but let your setter know

    red

red is a back row outside hitter hit

let the setter do the work you go when setter sets

    pipe or white

you go when setter sets a back row middle hit

    blue

you go when setter sets a back row rightside hit

hope this helps and let the setter do the work you just call it out

  4. It really depends on the team.  Many teams use single digits.

1 quick set in the middle

2 high set in the middle

3 quick set in the seam between the middle and the outside

    4 quick set outside

    5 high outside

    6 high back

    10 back row set

That is the common numbers although like I said, teams vary it to confuse the opponents.

Some teams use a double digit system

The 9 meter long net is broken into meter long areas starting with 1 on the left side and 9 in back.  The setter is usually in the 6 area.

The second number is for the height of the set.

The quick set in the middle is area 5 and 1 foot high or a 51.  The high middle becomes a 52.  The high outside is area 1 and 3 feet high or 13.  The quick set in the seam is area 3 and 1 foot high or the 31 set.  Back set is area 9 and 3 foot high or 93.

Some people also designate more for the back row.  Some people use A, B and C.  Different teams start with A or C for the back row set to the server.

Another common back row is called the pipe for the back row set in the middle.

I wish I could tell you that this is THE answer.

  5. I live in Iowa and I'm on the varsity girls team.  I don't know, we have different plays where we have actions the setters/right sides like me call.  But when we do the numbers we normally do:

    5: High Outside

    7: Low Outside (Shoot)

    2: High Middle

    1: Quick Middle

    9: High Back

    6: High Back

4: When the outside comes nearer to the middle to hit a high set.

I don't know how it is with you guys.
