  1. Canadians call the parts/sections of the country Provinces...not states.  There are ten of them.  Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Saskatchewan and Yukon Territory.

    BC (from East to West)

    There are also 3 territories:

    They are not called states in Canada.
