Hi, I'm Italian and with my husband we are moved in England few month ago.

In Italy we started to do the documents for the adoption but after one entire year we are sill without the Idoneity. (in Italy the things go very slowly...)

I know that after 3 year being resident abroad we can ask for a child in UK and what I'd like to know is which are the document we need to show in order to obtein the "parental Licence"

Sorry for my bad English... it is better when I speak it!

Thank you

there maybe a contact on one of these pages where you can speak with someone about these things.

  2. If you want to adopt a child in U.K you must show that your credibility is really a good one, and that you have the real intention to adopt, and that you will give the child all the things as if he is your own,Before they give you the parental license, you have to have a document that shows that non of you had any trouble with the police, therefore you need a certificate of your conduct, your birth certificates and your marriage certificate, and I think a recommendation from a lawyer or doctor that knows you well

  3. Contact your local Social services department who are usually based within the council for your area.  Ask to speak to a social worker with a view to fostering/adoption and they can help you.  In this area they have open days every few months for potential fosterers etc to go and ask questions.  Good luck x*x
