  1. If the shingle is missing I'm sure the nail holding it is still in place so hire a ripper from your small plant hirer and remove it its ok to make a strap to holdit in but I've found Nonail isthe best way just apply leave 5mins and push down

  2. 1) get a shingle remover

    2) get a hammer

    3) hook shingle remover around nail holding shingle to be removed

    4) hit shingle remover with hammer till nail breaks or comes out

    5) repeat for all nails

    6) instal new shingle (you can use strip (usually copper) to do this or just nail and seal)

    7) paint to match

This is in US but should work in Canada too!

  3. is this leading to a drunk joke?

  4. For siding? I have never done it myself but I have seen it done several times on home shows.

The trick is to use a flat crowbar or a tool made for the purpose to go under the  shingle and the one above at the top of the lower shingle and cut the nails that go through both.

Then you can slide a new shingle up and in and nail it down.

Hmmm, I wonder if you can slide a hacksaw blade under there to do it.

    Just a thought.
