take the SATs/ACTs build your application: list out ur sat / act scores subject test scores, or anything else important. list out ur extra curriculars and apply to a university! u can do this online as well by going to a specific university's site. if u want to get in, u should follow the admission requirements guideline listed on the university's page.

This depends on the college.

For open admissions schools, it can be as simple as meeting all your high school graduation requirements, obtaining proof of identity (and residence), paying fees, and filling out forms.

For selective schools, it will generally also (with some exceptions) include taking the SAT or ACT, the SAT II subject tests (usually three, but some people take more), obtaining letters of recommendation from teachers and counselors, and writing personal statements. Some schools might also ask you for a personal interview with a graduate of the school or an admissions officer if you live nearby. There is usually an application fee.

1. Pick a major/majors

2. Search universities/colleges that are decent in that major.

3. Do the SAT Reasoning Test. This will help you gauge your level.

4. Make a short-list of about 10-12 that you want to apply to (remember to keep them realistic based on your SAT and GPA). Include some private, some public schools. Some should be close to home some should be far. Give yourself some choice.

5. Visit them/their website and figure out what they need for a completed application.

6. Start writing your essays.

7. Co-ordinate a lot with your counselor to check if all documents have left the school.

8. Keep in touch with the university to see if they have received your documents.
