I looked into it before and I learned that you should have a BA in biology physics or chemistry then you go to med school and after that you do a 2 year internship the other way I learned was that you had to go through nursing? Is that true? I want to become a gynecologist I just turned 18 can you please tell me the correct steps and requirements to becoming a gynecologist...Thanks!

  1. Bachelors in biology would be ideal. Med school and then internship like you said. The other one you are talking about is nurse practitioner I believe. You go to standard nursing school and then take course beyond that for a few more years. You can do pap smears and prescribe medication (birth control etc) like a gynecologist, except you're not a doctor you're a nurse practitioner.

  2. If you want to be a physician you will need to get a degree in a Biological Science, then apply for medical school, and then your internship.

You could also become a Nurse Practitioner, you would need to get your Bachelors in Nursing then apply for grad school to get your MSN Masters of Science in Nursing.  As a NP you could see and treat patients in gynecology if thats the route you choose
