I have a two year old who I'm trying to potty train, but I have been unsuccessful in getting him to go in the toilet once. Please, any of you mother and fathers who have had good luck with this issue, please give me some advice. Thank you!

  1. this worked well for my niece. it's efficient to have a tiny potty in every room. ask about ever ten min if they have to potty. once we found out that she was extremely ticklish, we would tickle her and  wait for her response. her first reaction was always to hold herself from going. once associating the urge from tickling she put two and two together. by continually asking her, she eventually goes to one of the many potties.

    hope it helps!!!!

  2. you say him- i would suggest cherrios or fruit loops (more colorful) it sounds stupid, but it worked with my son. if he has his own potty, put a little water in it and have him stand and aim. see how many he can flip. this might sound like playing, but once he gets in the habit of telling you he has to go (even if it is just to dunk the cereal) that is a hard habit to break. its like riding a bike. i also, had my son sit on the potty for a period of time. i wouldn't let him get up right away. pay attention to the time he goes also. like everyone, h**l have to go after eating, getting up, etc. with a boy it was actually easier than a girl. you can go to places without restrooms (parks, centers, etc.) and if he has to pee, well you can figure it out!!! good luck!

  3. just potty train them andthey will get used to it

  4. We started potty training when my daughter told me she wanted to do it.  We were in the store getting new underwear for me and she saw some hello kitty underwear that she really liked.  So I bought them for her and we keep a big box of her favorite books by the toilet and when she sits on the toilet we read to her.  The key was that she wanted to do it.  I never would have thought to start this young.  She will be two later this month.  I used to work in daycare and usually kids were around three when they potty trained.

  5. There are some tips on my site that can help you out greatly. Good Luck!

  6. this is what i did 3 times and it worked, but i think he really needs to understand the whole concept of going to the bathroom for this to work. i looked at them in the face and said this is it!!! we went to his room and HE took out all his pull ups and threw them in the trash. i handed him some money and we went to the store and he picked out and bought his own underwear. he took the bag home and he put the underwear on. he did wet the bed that night and asked for a pull up. NO they are gone, we washed the sheets and he showered and changed. he pooped his pants. sorry no pull ups, they are gone. washed up put underwear back on. he got the hint the pull ups where not coming back.
