What are the strengths and weaknesses of the current global model, versus local or regional models?

What are the strengths and weaknesses of the current global model, versus local or regional models, and is there room (or need) to reconcile these different visions for food production?

Local - Regional model ,  People that rely on import - export could make food like in the old times so they would not suffer from hunger , starve famine

Global = People with money can eat any kind of food by making poor people starve and work for a miserable pay



Global = People can no longer support themselves , you are forced to exchange and so on , cannot live on your own or in small community anymore , therefore forced to live by the world standard
