I think everyone is going to agree the NL West is the weakest.

NL Central is the strongest because the top three teams (Cubs, Brewers, Cardinals) are the best three teams in the NL

  1. I can go along with that philosophy

  2. Weakest is the NL West easily, but the strongest is the AL East.  Take a look on http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/standings because only the Orioles are below .500 and their differencial between runs allowed and runs scored is only -4, the rest of the teams are above it.

  3. i agree with you

  4. Weakest is the NL west. Strongest is the AL East.

The NL Central teams get a lot of games against Cincinnati and Pittsburgh to bump up their win totals. Baltimore is the weak link in the East - but outside their division they are actually six games over .500

The fact is - the AL overall is so much stronger than the NL right now, that there is no way the strongest division could be in the NL. I hate to say that because I like the NL better..but facts are facts.

  5. I agree that the NL Central is the strongest division. Has 4 teams with a record above .500 and the 3 best records in the NL.

I'm going to disagree with you on the weakest though. The NL West is pretty weak but I think the DBacks and Dodgers can both compete with a lot of teams. In the AL West though, the only team that's even semi-good is the Angels. The Rangers, A's, and Mariners are all terrible. Except for the Rangers who are a decent team. I guess overall the western part of the US sucks at baseball.
