What are the subdivisions in peripheral nervous system?

The peripheral nervous system is the nerves/neurones.

Three types:

Sensory neurones transmit electrical impulses from receptors in sense organs to the Central Nervous System (Brain and spinal cord)

Association/Relay neurones transmit impulses within the CNS.

Motor neurones transmit impulses from the CNS to musscles or glands to carry out the appropriate action. Muscles react by contracting and glands release hormones.
