My little girl (8weeks old) has been quit stuffy for about 4 days now...lots of drainage (I can hear it) and it seems to be a lot worse right when she wakes up!! She has a cough...she started having a slight case of diarrhea last night cotinued through today!! She doesnt have a fever but isnt taking as much of her bottle as normal only about 2.5 to 3ozs instead of almost all 4ozs!! She seems to be sleepin a little more often then normal too!! The weather has been fluctuating a little and its been raining where I live at I am curious if this could be a symptom of allergies or does she maybe have a cold?! What should I do?! (Call the doc?) She doesnt act like she feels bad!!

  1. You're formula feeding, this is what happens.

  2. fever is not always the first symptom... you have a list of symptoms that say your baby is having problems with the environment... dry/humid environment is the first element where the baby can be reacting...

usually it is not a problem, if your baby is "happy", there is nothing to fear.  she react with her body.  is it's too dry, she try to raise her own moisture... if it is too moisturized, she try to breath louder to lower the humidity.

i had 4 kids with breathing situations, and they always had a reason... if the weather is raising/lowering, think of something: we are animals, and babies are reacting naturally... the moment you will see a raise in temperature will be the moment when something is wrong... then call the doc.

when feeding change, or if something different occur in her own mood, remember that she have to face growing phases.. she may be into a phase at 4, 8 and 12 weeks old...
