Pompei IS in the South as the South is classed from Rome and down....it's normally about 10-17 celcius here in the winter, which by the way humid, in the evenings it does get colder but just because of the humidity.......you should fine nice days with crisp air and nice blue skies, last year in winter it went a full 84 days without rain. Wool can be too heavy here in winter because of the high hunidy levels

    POMPEI IS IN THE SOUTH OF ITALY.....

    so the temperatures aren't so low like the north..

    during the night 2°c or 3°c ( but when it's very cold)...

    during the day 15°c or 16°c....

  3. Pompeii is not in the South, it's in the middle. Close to  - almost in - Naples. Winter can be cool but not cold. Anywhere in the med in Winter is about the 60's. Unless you are unlucky. It does feel cold in the evenings as there is no warmth in the "fabric" of the place.
