Someone who took the citizenship test told me that there are ten questions that are always asked; does anyone know what those ten are?

I tried Google.

  1.   They  will  give  you  a  study  questionaire's  when  you  apply ; or  visit

  2. Questions are selected out of 100 different questions, the ones you get are randomly drawn.  I've cited them in the sources.

However, in October there will be an entirely new set of questions.

  3. Go here and study:

Then go here and test yourself:

  4. As others said, there are 100 questions and you will be asked up to 10. You need 6 correct to pass. They choose the questions randomly, but often some of the ten will include the questions that pertain to your local area and state.

Short answer: You can never know exactly which questions they will ask.
