What are the thing i must see and do in Taormina ( Sicily )?

The theatre (it's a Greek theatre, not Roman) is very impressive with the sea and the Etna volcano as background.

The sea of Taormina is very beautiful with a small island just in front of the small beach.

In the neighbourhood you can visit the Etna ( an active volcano, the highest of Europe I suppose) and the "Gole di Alcantara"  (rock gorges with a stream flowing inside).

However I would suggest to avoid August.  Taormina it's too much crowded now!

There's a nice roman ancient theater there.

Also in sicily go to visit Corleone, the villa del casale at Piazza Armerina, and Palermo ...
