  1. well, if your doing a scrapbook to help with the alphabet, you'll need ideas for all the letters:

    A- airplanes, action figures, animals

B- baseball, basketball, balloons, butterflies, bubbles

C- cats, cartoons, cake, cupcakes, cards,  candy, crayons

    D- dogs, dress up

    E- elephants

F- FUN!, fish, fall, family, friends

    G- games, giraffes

    H- hot dogs, hamburgers, hats

    I- ice cream, insects

    J- jello, jacks, juice

    K- kings, kites

    L- laughter, ladybugs

M- milk, make up, music, money

    N- numbers, names

    O- octopus, oceans

    P- presents, pets, pirates, pumpkins

    Q- queens, quilts

    R- robots, rainbows, rodeos

S- sailboats, summer, sports, shapes, snow, stars, spring

    T- teeth, tools

    U- underwater

    V- veggies, violins

    W- watermelon, whales, winter

    X- x-ray

    Y- yellow, yaks

    Z- zoo animals, Zzzzz's

    I hope this helps!!

  2. They like for you to talk to them and allow them to go exploring. Things like dirt, rocks, bugs and anything that makes noise.

  3. Definitely Spider-man.  s****.-Doo, Sponge-Bob, Shrek.  They like swimming, coloring, riding bikes, swinging... etc.  It also varies with individual children, find out what interests this particular child.

  4. Hmmm, I took my young one who was learning alphabet and took pictures of him with people, places and things matching the alphabet....he loved seeing himself in everything!  We went to the zoo to get pics of animals and looked for family pics where he was with aunts and uncles.

I actually turned them into flash cards and laminated them but I bet you could do something with a scapbook.

  5. The scrapbook idea is great, but why don't you find a bunch of magazines, newspapers, etc... and have the children pick out things for each letter that they like? That will make it the children's project and you won't have to figure out what they like. It would make an awesome art project too!

Yet, if you insist on making it. Here are things that my neices and children that I have taught in Pre-K like:

    Anything Disney

    Barbie

    Bratz

    Spiderman

    Batman

Arts and Crafty items (paint, crayons, etc...)

    Dress Up items

    Animals

Pictures of themselves (you could take pictures of the kids and put them on the pages in the alphabet that coordinates with their names.)

    Dinosaurs

    Bugs

Ice Cream is a good one

Transformers is making a come back

Sports stuff (balls, bats, etc... Great for a "B" page or the "S" page)

    Swimming

Wow! I could go on and on.... I hope you have fun and the children learn a lot : )

  6. Spiderman and Transformers are popular.

Oddly, Darth Vader is still big, along with light sabres, Yoda and all other things Star Wars.

Legos.  Board games like Trouble.  Cyberchase.  Soccer.

  7. I work at daycare. I have noticed that they like Thomas the tank engine. Like some of the orther people said cartoon characters at good that they know like winnie the pooh and Blue clues, Cars (from the movie) that is just some I can think of anyway.
