What are the things you can't take on an airplane?

im going on an airplane in a couple days and there are certain things you have to take in the luggage and not with you as a carry on..so what are the things?my friend said you can't take lip gloss?

You can take lip gloss. You also can take liquids as long as they are not over 3.4 oz. You also are allowed to take meat, dairy and other food as long as it is not in a liquid or gel state. The things you aren't allowed to take are flammable items, and weapons.

Lip gloss won't be a problem; just make sure it's in a transparent bottle and put it in a sealable bag (ziploc?). The amount of ml also can't amount 100 ml.

You are also not allowed meat, dairy goods, sharp items, cans that can explode and huge amounts of money in your luggage, call your airport for more info.

You can't take any liquids like water or tea or whatever from home.After you pass security you can buy things that you can  take on the plane.You can take lip gloss just out it in a Ziploc bag.Anything else that is liquid you can take on carry on just put it in a plastic baggie.You can put  any liquid in a bag  that is goin g under the plane(other wise: a bag that is NOT a carry on).

Then of course there's the typical stuff : no drugs, weapons....etc.

I am so glad you asked the question. I'm leaving Wednesday and I haven't traveled in about 81/2 years and have no clue what is or isn't allowed. And I am quite glad you can take the lip gloss.  Good luck on your trip. Have a safe and nice one.

I have flown a few times this summer, and my only luggage were carryons. The only restrictions that I saw were using the travel size (3oz.) for your toiletries.(shampoo, conditioner, shaving stuff, etc.)  I actually had no problem when I brought home a full size lotion bottle though. And I had my lighter in my purse(I smoke) and they never took it away.  But I did see people get their bottled water bottle taken away at the baggage screening.  

The actual signs at the airports in Chicago, Las Vegas, and San Diego airports only prohibited explosives, firearms, and knives.  That was it.  I dont know if they have relaxed their restrictions or what, because just 2 years ago, you couldnt bring anything liquid unless it was checked in your baggage as checked luggage.
