Every morning very early i wake up every now and then (about 4 times) feeling horrible in my stomach and i cant stand it anymore.

So most of the time i feel like c**p and feel like i have no engery. I know i should start eating more only just sometimes i dont feel like eating cause i feel so sick.

For the last three weeks i have been without a home and moving around alot and i neva ate much some days just one thing atm im staying with my mum.

What are some of the things you can do to stop throwing up and feeling so sick?

  1. It's the progesterone production that makes you throw up. The higher the progesterone, the more 'sick' you feel. It's a sign of a healthy, strong pregnancy, if that's any comfort at all.

I had the same problem when I was pregnant with my son. Try to eat small meals, I know just the thought of food makes you feel sick, but just eat a bite or two at a time, wait for it to settle then take two more bits. It can take you an hour to eat a sandwich, but at least you're getting some food in you. The less you eat, the sicker you'll feel because your blood pressure will start to drop, which will make you feel even worse.

Try to snack on ice cold watermelon cubes. I know, no one ever gives this advice, but it worked for me (after I tried everything else). It's also full of water, which will stop you dehydrating.

Remember, the baby gets all they need from you, you're the one who'll suffer, so keep taking your prenatals and for now just try your best to get at least one meal in you and drink lots of water... slow sips throughout the day, don't "down" glasses of water.

Warm peppermint tea sometimes worked for me. So did ginger ale, if I watered it down, if I drank it 'as is' I'd throw up.

Try eating a dry biscuit or cracker before you get out of bed... just put the packet on your bedside table, together with a glass of water, and have that before you even think about getting up.

If it gets really bad (like it isn't already), go see your doctor, s/he'll be able to give you something for the nausea.

    Good luck!

  2. You have to eat!  the emptiness of your stomach will make you sick.  the baby needs you to eat.  even if you only keep your food down for 30 minutes you are getting the majority of its nutrition absorbed.  You have to eliminate as much stress as you can.

    if it persists try these:

    eat slowly

sip don't chug, take your time and drink all the time.

crackers while laying down before you get up of a morning.

Flat warm cola(small quantities because the caffeine is still bad)

tomato juice(alcoholics use this to settle their stomach)

ginger ale (I hated the taste)

eat lots of little meals I ate 2-3 bites of something every hour while I was pregnant with my son.  I threw up everything no matter what I did or when I did it.  I was on Compazine from 3 weeks into the pregnancy until I delivered.  talk to your doctor if it persists there are meds he can give you to help but none of it will make it go away until your body decides to say ok to your pregnancy.

watch your fluid intake, dehydration can cause serious complications.  You have to stay properly hydrated.

  3. I had this same problem when i was pregnant with my first child, and again with this pregnancy (just not as severe). Sour things always worked for me. I always keep sour tic tacs on hand when i need something fast. And lemons really help. Try eating or sucking on a slice of lemon. That will calm your tummy.  Also, if you are not going to eat anything, you need to at least try to drink gatorade or V8 juice. I know its not the most pleasant thing, but try to take small sips during the day. Try to at least consume a whole glass full or a whole small bottle full little bit by little bit  per day. It will help restore vitamins to the baby. Good luck. Also, there are things found in the drug store called Sea Bands. They are about $9.00 for a pair and they are small bands that you wear on your wrists that have pessure points that cut off the signal of nausea to your brain. They are used for morning and sea sickness. you may not think those tiny arm bands work. but they do. They are little miricles.

  4. I'd go and speak to your O.B.

They can do things to help your sick feeling.  Sounds like you have severe morning sickness.  Go see a doctor.

BUT.  Try eating rice cakes.  I was throwing up 1-2 times a day and those helped me out a lot.  Get the ones that are lightly salted.  Also.  Try getting some fruit bars in the ice cream aisle.  They can help you get fruits down without eating fruits.  So, it's liquid rather then solids.

I'm sorry you are feeling so sick.  Also.  There are these new things from motherhoodmaternity.  They are suckers for morning sickness.  Check out the site and try those?!  *gives you a hug*

On the bright side.  Having morning sickness shows your baby is VERY healthy.  ^_^

  5. I am 23 weeks pregnant, and early in my pregnancy I had the same problem, I tried crackers, ginger ale, peppermint, aroma therapy, ginger snaps, any home remedy you can think of, and nothing worked.  I suffered for 16 weeks and i finally complained to my midwife, she gave me 25mg of Phenergan, and it was my miracle, and safe for the baby.   I was finally able to sleep and eat.  They did make me very sleepy,  but it was worth it, I was actually able to only take a half of one pill so I would not get so tired.  PHENERGAN IS A BLESSING!!!

  6. TUMS or mylanta helps a  LOT

  7. Try eating a couple of ginger biscuits/cookies in the morning before you get out of bed. Stick to dry toast and plain foods, make sure you are drinking water and lots of it. If the morning sickness doesnt improve go to the doctors, they can give you medication to ease the sickness, the pills are generally the same as car sickness pills.

Some people say you get morning if you have motion sickness. There are also things people say like the babies blood type doesnt match yours and your body tries to cope with the difference.

  8. My wife is a little further along than you and she seems to feel better when her stomach isn't empty.I think that maybe stress has something to do with it too. Try to eat only things you can tolerate and minimize your stress as much as possible.
