  1. Land, water, air.

Added: What lesson are you talking about?  Homework?

  2. Core: The Earth has a iron-nickel core that is about 2,100 miles in radius. The inner core may have a temperature up to about 13,000°F

Mantle: Under the crust is the rocky mantle, which is composed of silicon, oxygen, magnesium, iron, aluminum, and calcium. The upper mantle is rigid and is part of the lithosphere

Crust: The Earth's thin, rocky crust is composed of silicon, aluminum, calcium, sodium and potassium.  The crust is divided into continental plates which drift slowly (only a few centimeters each year) atop the less rigid mantle. The crust is thinner under the oceans (6-11 km thick); this is where new crust is formed. Continental crust is about 25-90 km thick.

  3. Three characteristics?  Can you be more specific?  There aren't three of any factors as far as I can think of.  There is the geosphere (land), hydrosphere (water), and atmosphere (air), but also the biosphere (plants and animals) that all interact.  Plus the hydrosphere is typically broken down into frozen and liquid water.  As far as the Earth itself it consists of several physical layers; lithosphere (the crust we stand on), asthenosphere, mantle, outer core and inner core.  Plus these are different if talking about chemical characteristics.  Hope this narrows down your question a little.
