  1. nucleus - contains genetic information e.g DNA instructs the cell to make certain components

cell membrane- controls what entres and leaves the cell

cytoplasm - where chemical reactions take place

  2. I am assuming that you want three major organelles that are common to both plant and animal cells, as there are also organelles that are specific to each (ex. the vacoule would only be found in plant cells). Three major organelles that are common to both would include:

    1. The mitochondrian-the powerhouse of the cell

    2. The golgi aparatus-packaging of macrmolecules for further sorting, storage, or excocytosis

    3. The nucleus-storage of chromosomes/maintaining genetic integrity
