  1. 1. plasma membrane - keeping the cell content together

    2. cytoplasm - the liquid content of the cell, where most biochemical reactions take place

    3. organelles - each organelle has specific function: nucleus for protecting the genetic information, mitochondria for generating energy, chloroplast for capturing sun light, endoplasmic reticulum for synthesis of proteins, lipid and carbohydrate for export, etc.

  2. id have to say there are way more than 3 major parts...im not sure which youre supposed to answer with but id consider these 3 to be at the top of the list:

    1. phospholipid bilayer: used during passive and active transport/flyuid mosaic model/protection/balance internal system with the external environment

    2. nucleus: contains DNA/ is the central dogma/involved in mitosis and meiosis

    3. other cell organelles: moniter and perform various functions which keep the cell alive and lviing
