  1. you will have to know your 6th or 7th poomse/hyung possibly 20+ self defense techniques, and 15+ one step sparring drills

  2. that sounds pretty good.

  3. this really depends on the school, the instructor and you.

In some schools you can advance to a red belt in a matter of months, while in better schools it takes years. The reason i say that it also depends on you and your instructor is because of the fact that some instructors may decide on how long it will take depending on how you act and how you perform during class or exams. And to the Jiu Jitsu wannabe that posted above me, you really don't know what you're talking about, you obviously know nothing about both TKD and Jiu Jitsu. For if you were a true practitioner you would realize that style means nothing, anyone no matter what style they use can lose to anyone if the person simply has more skill than them.

  4. I don't suggest that you go against a jiu-jitsu practitioner unless you want to become a highlight reel victim like any other TKD guy. You need a ground game. You will never beat a real fighter by doing some flashy kick. That means nothing in a street fight. A jiu-jitsu practitioner will see that, avoid it, close the distance and it is GAME OVER.

Don't believe me? See the destruction on YouTube and get back to me. TKD is nothing against jiu-jitsu, NOTHING.

  5. Normally red comes before Blue, so tell us your belt levels and I will be able to answer.
