For Thoroughbred Dirt Horses or Grass Turf Horses???

You would have to rank Secretariat as the best ever dirt horse specially as a 3 year old...

Man O War & Citation are an easy top 5

You can make arguments for Sea Biscuit, Native Dancer, Cigar, Seattle Slew, Ruffian and others.

For Grass horses you would have to throw Secretariat in the top 5 even though he was primarily a dirt horse. His abillity to run a mile and a half was supernatural and he did compete and win a turf race after his tripple crown victory.

I would go to Europe to ask for for the rest of that top 5 turf list since Eropean turf horses are better than American turf horses.
