1. Managua (the Capital) is the center of everything. The majority of businesses are headquartered here in Managua.

2. Granada. It is the oldest colonial city in North, Central and South America. It is alsoa very popular city and tourist who visit take a sidetrip to see Lake Nicaragua (the 2nd largest lake in Latin America).

3. Leon. Both Leon and Granada were founded the same year, Leon was founded after Granada and they both served as the capital before Managua was made capital.

4. San Juan del Sur. It is an internationaly famous town. It is a small but beautiful coastal town with ex-pats from all around the world (U.S. South America, Germany, Italy, China, Taiwan).

5. Bluefields. It is the largest city in the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua and its culture is beautiful and very diverse. Many people there are decendants of Jamaican slaves that were brought by the Spanish long long ago. It is the Reggae capital of Central America.

The Corn Islands are located in the Caribbean coast about 20min. from Bluefields. They are also very beautiful and are visited as much as any of the cities mentioned.
