Ive been to France before, and I have my own personal top 5 but I need to know a site where I could get a more reliable statement. I know it will all be a personal choice on the top places, but if there is a website or something like that where people were polled or whatever please let me know!

Thanks!

  1. I'm heading to France this summer and would have to say Paris is #1 followed by the riviera.  Normandy could be #3 for the benefit of American history.

  2. Well, hard to say because it depends on what you like and what you expect.

    That's why I propose you

    - Nuits saint georges (about 250 km away from paris) in the burgundy valley. Beautifull place if you like wine (many to taste, people are used to welcome tourists from France and the entire world, they mostly speak English). A beautifull place to visit also because you can walk along the wineyards. In the automn, the entire valley becomes red because of the leaves. It is beautifull. And there is also a very old Abbey (citeaux) to visit (or to stay) with famous cheese at honey sweets.

    - If you have never been there yet, you can also go to the Mont saint michel, in Normandy. even if some say it belongs to Brittany. But sure you have walking shoes because it can be hard to walk on pebbles all day.

    - Rouen is also a city I like. the old city, with the "Gros horloge" (great clock), the old market square are nice place to discover. You do not need to stay there a long time. If you rent a car, you can just stop in Rouen for a couple of hours. I love doing that when going to normandy.

    - Toulouse is a major city. Call the "pink city". Mainly always hot (nice weather). The city is famous for arts and music exhibitions.

    - Angle sur Langlin (near Poitiers). a small medieval village. And you can also go to the Futuroscope.

  3. Well, if you've been to France before you've presumably seen Paris. While it's unquestionably one of the world's great cities, I would recommend venturing out into the country. Many people go to Paris or the French Riviera, but there are countless beautiful villages in the countryside, many of them off the beaten path. I haven't had the chance to visit them personally (my knowledge of France- my birth country- is far more limited for the time being than I'd like it to be). Having said that, this website provides some beautiful pictures, some of which may incite you to visit them. I hope it helps.
