What are the top bit-torrent clients out there ? does it make a difference which one you use/have ??

im thinking it doesnt matter a single bit what client you got, since they're all linked to one big network of networks, the internet.

am i mistaken though ? if so, which one is the best to use ? i've been using uTorrent up till now :p

uTorrent is generally recommended. Personal I don't think it makes a difference. It's all about how many and who are seeding the file your downloading.

it's very reliable and basic. I've been using it for 4 years now and will never change. There's others out there of course, it's your choice.

You're correct, it's all a matter of personal preference.  Like some people prefer IE over Firefox and vice versa.

I myself like to use Shareaza because in addition to being a bittorrent client, it also allows me to connect to other P2P networks like Gnutella1, Gnutella2 and eMule.  This means I no longer need to download limewire or kazaa.

Not really. The speed is determined by how many people are hosting it for you. (Don't ask me for more detail, I'm an utter noob when it comes to bit torrents).
