In my opinion, these are very imprtant:

1) Always wear your seatbelt.

2) Don't get distracted by things such as CELL PHONES.

  1. Always leave as much space as possible between you and the other vehicles.   This gives you more time to react when they do something stupid.

Most of all,   always understand you are the only one with a clue.   All the other drivers out there are slobbering morons with runny noses and vacant stares.    It is on your shoulders,  and no one elses,  to plan every move,   avoid every danger,  to arrive safely.    Take nothing for granted!

  2. Seat belt, don't take your eyes from the road, and don't forget to use your mirrors. When in doubt, give the right of way instead of taking it. Never speed, and always check your blind spot before changing lanes.

  3. most importantly, don't hit other cars!!!

pay attention, follow at a good distance, don't drive too fast for conditions.

  4. 1. wear your seat-belts.

    2. dont speed.

    3. pay attention.

    4. drive friendly.

    5. dont drink and drive.

  5. 3. Watch out for everybody else on the road and expect the worst.

  6. In flying there's a saying that goes something like this:

    Aviate before navigate.

What that means is to concentrate on flying before anything else.  Pilots would sometime get distracted on simple things like navigating (following directions / maps) and fall out of the sky.

I think it is true of driving.  Concentrate on driving before anything else (that includes cellphones, following directions, etc. etc.).

As for wearing seatbelt, that should have happened before the driving began.

    Good Luck...
