What are the top selling items on ebay? How can I pick what to sell?

That's two questions, now.

Number one:

Are there any easy to use online tools (FREE) that tell us instantly and in real time what are the top selling items on ebay?

Number two:

How can i pick what to sell for profit profit profit?

If Exxon gets to make a profit, by God I need to do the same.

eBay tells you on the site what the hottest items are. Secondly, you should ONLY sell what you know a lot about. That way no one can take advantage of you.

The best items to sell on Ebay are those in greatest demand. For example, Almost everyone today has a cell phone.  Even teenagers and younger have them.  Can you think of any product that you can buy today that is as ubiquitous as cell phones are?  Other hot items might be certain pet supplies, video games, abercrombie & fitch, ipods and so on.  The difficult part is where to get the items you want to sell at a price where it's going to be profitable.  Especially with the high fees that Ebay and Paypal charge.  Good Luck!  I've made some money but its really not as easy as some would tell you.

Honestly...

It's really a matter of personal preference for WHAT you want to sell...but if you want to make money, there are some good sites out there that will let you buy items for cheap (wholesale), so that you can re-sell them on ebay, or wherever you want.

I wrote up an article on that subject, actually...But if you want the summary of it, I use a wholesaler known as salehoo, and to be honest, they're got pretty d**n good deals.

For example:

I can buy a Sony Ericsson W910 cell phone for $282.95, and RE-sell it on ebay for $415 or so (give or take)..that's about $130 PROFIT from one single item.

Um, off the top of my head, some OTHER things you can on there for wholesale are Gucci Sunglasses, Cell phones, Yes London Jeans, PS3's, psps and a HECK of alot more!

main things selling at the moment fall into the following categories:

electronics(phones, laptops, PC's)

Fashion(clothes, shoes and accessories)

but there are tons of other things that people are interested in and so can be found on ebay.
