1. Vancouver to Calgary across the Rocky Mountains (Canada)

2 Inverness to Wick (Scotland)

3. Shrewsbury to Swansea via the Central Wales Line (Wales)

Here's my top 3:

The 'Glacier Express' route on the Rhaetian Railway in Switzerland;

The Highland Line in Scotland;

The line between Zimbabwe and Zambia in Africa which passes over the Victoria Falls.

I am sure there are many more contenders

wow, interesting question, almost impossible to answer though. what do you like? scenic for me might not be for you

The White Pass and Yukon is absolutely breathtaking, so is most of the Alaska railroad.

The Canadian railroads' track through Banff and down the Frasier River Canyon will take your breath away as will Amtrak that runs across Montana bordering Galcier Nat'l Park. Unfortunately due to schedulers having a severe case of cranial/r****m inversion that peice of track is traveled at night.

There are some south American trips in theAndes that I have seen photos of that I would love to see someday, and there are many many breathtaking trips in the Alps.

The top three would be awfully difficult to name, all a matter of personal preference I think.
