  1. Dont give baby clothes and stuff to expectant mothers in case they have a miss.

  2. Where I come from, there is no such thing as a baby shower. When the mother delivers her baby, her family and close friends would visit her in the hospital and take flowers and/or chocolate with them. The chocolate and flowers would usually be presented in a "decorative" way to welcome the new baby; for example, a pink teddy with flowers for a baby girl. The guests would be served sweets which are also especially made to welcome the new baby (kind of like wedding favors but pink or blue). When the mother goes home with her baby, her family, close friends, and everyone else would visit her and take gifts… the gifts are usually baby stuff such as toys, clothes, etc. The price of the gift is usually determined by your financial status and how close you are to the mother of the baby. The mother does not choose her gifts or register at any place. Instead, she accepts and appreciates all gifts she receives, whether she needs them or not… Further, unless the gift giver is really close with the mom, the gift would be opened after the guest(s) leave(s).

  3. sorry i need points

  4. Truth be told, I'd never even heard of a baby shower until I watched American sitcoms and series. I've never had a baby (aged 16) and neither has anyone I know in recent years, but I'm not even sure if we have them here in England.

As far as I know, people send gifts but there isn't such a great party thing made of it.

  5. We bring gifts for the baby or for the mother, and we have a lot of food.  We also decorate the place and men gets invited, too.

  6. at the baby showers ive been to, first we'd eat and have cake, then we'd play a bunch of really corny "baby" games for usually crappy prizes, then we'd get in a big circle and watch the mom unwrap all her gifts and ooh and aah at them. Pink for girls, blue for boys, green and yellow for mystery babies.

  7. give the mother to be Baby stuff like clothes cribs etc.....
