What are the two main funcions of the stomach in humans?

we have a stomach for breaking down the food we eat (after we eat,the food in our stomach gets broken down within 24 hours), and to serve as a passage way to our intestines.but the main function is breaking down the food we eat because if we didn't have that function then we'd probably p**p out are food the way it was when we ate it.=D

2.Pushing the digested food into the intestines.
