  1. same as any other houses you see on other countries

  2. our red house,it is the most popular for many years now

  3. bungalow

others has two to four storeys

    others live in a condo

some still lives in shanties, made of scraps

bahay-kubo or the nipa hut, made of cogon and bamboo but very sturdy.

  4. For most of the population, there are 3 types of housing.

    They are:

    - Nipa huts. Homes made of bamboo, with nipa roof.  Even foreigners will live in a nipa hut because they are cool to live in. Generally, they use coco lumber for the frame, have bamboo walls, roof made from banana leaves and cooking is on an open fire. Better quality homes will have bamboo floor otherwise the floor will be dirt. There are no glass windows. A panel that opens and shuts is used for seeing outside. Toilets are outside. Sometimes there is a separate small out house but most often it will be an open toilet. Nipa huts are generally just a couple of rooms. One side living area, the other side sleeping area.

    - Plywood. Homes made of plywood with corrugated iron roof. Generally, they will use coco lumber for the frame, 3 ply plywood for the walls. 5 or 7 ply plywood for the floor. Corrugated iron for the roof. Windows will usually be the slat type. Most often, these are unpainted and will deteriorate in a few years because of exposure to the weather. Plywood homes are generally just a single room or a few rooms with outside toilet.

    - Hollowblock. Homes made of cement blocks called hollow blocks. they are a large cement brick with holes through the middle. During construction, the holes are filled with cement and steel bars for reinforcing. That is to say, there might be 10 blocks stacked on top of each other with one steel rod through the ten blocks.  Hollow block homes come in sizes ranging from single room to several storeys. Some have tiled roofs and some have corrugated iron roofs. Bathrooms are often inside. Smaller hollowblock homes will most likely have slat type windows. Better quality homes will have alluminium windows or fancy wooden frame windows. Floor is most commonly made of cement. Better quality homes will have tiled floors.

You can sometimes see combinations of 2 or 3 of the above.
