What are the types of vehicle registration plates available??

can any one explain me what are the types of vehicle registration plates available??? white in black..... like that.. and explain it whats it meaning??

There are basically two classifications in registration plates.

White plate Black Numbers - this shows that the vehicle is a private vehicle and also depicts that the vehicle is fully life tax paid ( for a tenure of 15 yrs) .

Yellow Plate Black Numbers - it shows that the vehicle is not a private vehicle and can be used only for commercial use.

In India registration plates for private car and two-wheeler owners have a white background with black lettering. Commercial vehicles such as taxis and trucks have a yellow background and black text. Vehicles belonging to foreign consulates have white lettering on a light blue background. The President of India and state governors travel in official cars without licence plates. Instead they have the Emblem of India in gold embossed on a red plate. pkn

govt. Of India made some rules for number plates{exm.Black and white and yellow and white} main purpose of this system is to identify use of vechicle if you use vechicle for self use number will be written in black on white plate if used for commercial purpose plate will be yellow
