  1. Lunch shift: Opener 10am -around 2, Closer 11:30 to 3:30 ish

    Dinner: Opener 3:30- around 99pm closer 5:30-Close

  2. Depends on what position your applying for and how old you are.  If a host/hostess and/or 17 or younger, usually 4-6 hours.  If a server/busser/bartender and are 18 or older, generally about 4-6 hours when you start ('cuz you'll get the crappy shifts).  As you improve, you'll get better stations which usually mean longer shifts and more money.

The questions you should really be asking is... why do I want to work at Chili's?  The place blows!  Once every few years, I'll seem to forget why I don't go to Chili's and get talked into going... the food is average, but the service is always horrible.  Plus - if you are in a tipped position, dinner for 4 at Chili's will run about $40... about a $6 tip if you're lucky.  If you're a host/ess, you'll be making minimium wage.

Go to a restaurant with a higher price-point (meaning more than $10/head).  The higher the prices, the higher your tips - usually.  Also, chain restaurants with higher prices...ie: Cheesecake Factory, Macaroni Grill, Friday's, etc. tend to pay their non-tipped staff better wages.

    Good luck!

(FYI - I've been in the restaurant business as a General Manager for about 15 years, so I speak from some experience on this one)
