  1. Thermoplastics are made with materials which may be remelted over and over, and are used in bending and repeated working applications like hinges, clips, pen bodies, medicine caps, etc.

    Thermosets are made with materials which are set and cannot be remelted or recycled and are hard plastics made for molded applications like distributor caps, toy parts, switches, etc.

    Blow molded applications start with pellets of resin which when melted may be placed over a die and blown into the cavity to make a fixed shape.

    Rotational molding plastics are melted and placed into a centrifuge and while hot are forced into the mold cavity to make things like large childrens colored plastic lawn toys.

    Vacuum forming plastics are sheets which are heated up and when softened, drawn by vacuum, into the cavity of metal molds which make

    many durable goods.
