What are the uses for steamboats today? Do they serve any purpose besides for entertainment at Disneyland?

I'm working on a world history project, and we need to write about whether or not the steamboat is still used today. I can't find anything on the internet. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

The State University of New York operates a steam boat (steam turbine) as a training vessel for 500 students. I Went across the Atlantic on it in 2004.

some are used for gambleing on the Mississippi.  There are several the take tourists up & doen the Mississippi as well

That's a link to the company that owns the largest riverboat - the American Queen. They are used for tours along the Mississippi River. They were also used to house some of the oil rig workers after Hurricane Katrina.
