  1. There are six players on each side of the net. The team that usually wins the coin flip serves first. The serve has to go over the net, it is allowed to hit the net and go over. The other team then must try to return the ball using three hits. The ideal order of hits is bump, set, spike, however, it isn't necessary to do that. The teams keep this going until the ball hits the floor. If the serving team scores, they get to keep the serve and the point. If the other team scores, it's called a "side-out, " The serving team loses the serve, and the other team gets the serve and the point. There are no faults like in tennis, if the serve hits the net it's a side out. You can't touch the net. During a rally, a player's foot cannot cross the line. If it does, the must slide it back across. First serve is decided by a coin flip. If the referee can't see the play, it's a redo. And That's pretty much the basics of volleyball

I suggest going to things like open gyms and camps to improve on your skills. They really help alot. Work on jumping and spike approaches.
