Even though nadal won the rogers cup recently, I still believe there is still some holes in nadal's game on hard courts. If players will be a able to capitalize on them they can beat nadal easily on hard courts. What are these?

  1. What the announcers at the Rogers Cup were saying was that the thing the the players should do more often to Nadal is to move him around and break his rhythm. He has a certain rhythm he keeps to and he is a perfectionist, as you saw at the Rogers Cup where he put his 2 water bottles on the exact spot and drank from both everytime. The key is break his rhythm.

  2. he has no weakness! he is a perfect tennis player!

  3. well charles H answer is great!

but for the most part, i want to say these days very few players are capable of beating nadal... even on hardcourts!

his game has become much more diverse.... complete

he is coming into net more, and hitting with even more authority..

the only way someone can beat him is if they get to take alot of shots very early on him, hitting them very flat and clean... and getting alot of returns on the nadal second serve.. either that, or someone who is a excellent serve and volleyer, as well as taking the ball early, rushing nadals shots..

    Goodluck beating nadal..

  4. Charlie H had a good answer, but one weaknesses is that Nadal has to return serve deep.  He cant let it come up short cause that's when the other player has an advantage.  Also if his serve is on, he's extremely hard to beat.  If he keeps the ball deep causing the opponent to try to win from the baseline, its totally his game.

An advantage he has is that he is a "thinker" on the court, making adjustments needed to stop his opponenets progression.  His overall game has improved soooooooooo much over the last year, I'm sure he'll be #1.

  5. I would imagine the ideal player to break Nadals game is Mr. Andre Agassi. His method of gameplay is ideal for picking on Nadals weak spots. Why?

First of all. We all know Nadal isn't called the king of clay for nothing. The man runs down every ball and returns it with godly pace. However, his shots are still more on the spin friendly side. which means if there is a player who loves to hit shots on the rise, take early cuts on the ball and punishes weaker 2nd serves, along with an affinity of playing percentage tennis rather than always attempting spectacular shot making, than nadal is going to have some trouble. I can only see either Djokovic or Federer being able to give Nadal that kind of trouble on hardcourts, from which both now currently seem to be under his will. Hopefully some of the other players on the tour can rise to the occasion and give Rafa a real battle.

  6. Nadal seems to have troubles if he's on his forehand side and then has to run for a backhand that's way in the corner. It almost always goes into the net or is very weak. He's also trying one handed backhands lately, which is cool. But, as soon as you see him do that, chances are real high it will be a dropper up the line. Run forward.

Everyone has to KNOW the ball is going to come back no matter how spectacular the shot, so they better be prepped for it.

    Charlie H's answer is good.
