What are the widest rugby boots?

I play in the front row. I'm in the U.S., but I'll buy internationally if I have to. In running shoes, I wear a 12, 4E (wide). I can't find rugby shoes to fit. I've tried CCC Hiko size 12 and CCC Rampage size 12. 13 is wide enough, but too long. Are the Asics shoes wide? What about Gilbert?

  1. Adidas 915 III's. I speak from experience, I am a hooker.

Subtle enough for kicking, but can withstand harsh abuse. The boots, of course.

For more scrummagy boots, Adidas Baa-baas or 915 Flankers.

  2. I found the Canterbury ones were quite wide in children's sizes, but they don't have the ankle support which you might want in the front row. Some of the Gilbert ones were ok, some weren't. Have you tried KooGa? I use football boots and change the studs, but this might not be ideal if you want ankle support and hard toes (but it is much cheaper!)

  3. I have fairly wide feet and right now im using CCC, I used to use Mizzuno though, a couple of their styles are good for the wide footed person.
